Nitin Chadda

Co-Founder and Managing Partner, WestExec Advisors

Mr. Chadda is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of WestExec Advisors.

Mr. Chadda was formerly a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense and a former White House National Security Council Director.

Prior to concluding government service, Mr. Chadda served as the Senior Advisor for Strategy and Communications to former Secretary of Defense Ash Carter.  Mr. Chadda provided counsel on a range of foreign policy as well as strategic engagement and communications issues.  Mr. Chadda also supported the Department’s proactive outreach to the emerging technology community to improve and deepen ties to innovative ecosystems worldwide.

Prior to Mr. Chadda’s role with the Secretary of Defense, he served at the White House on the National Security Council with a focus on the Middle East.  During Mr. Chadda’s time at the White House, Mr. Chadda was principally responsible for coordinating U.S. policy towards Iran in support of the diplomatic, economic, and regional security objectives affecting the broader Middle East.

In addition to Mr. Chadda’s time at the White House, he has nearly a decade of experience in U.S. national security policymaking, having served in a variety of roles at the Department of State’s Policy Planning Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, advising broadly on strategic communications issues as well as the Middle East and North Africa, and South Asia.

Mr. Chadda received his B.S. from Cornell University with high honors.
